This position provides Project and Testing support for Engineering. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Evaluates packaging configurations of Customer and KIK Custom Products, Continuous Improvement, GMP, and Safety, in regards to appropriateness for intended use and manufacturability.
  • Evaluates and reports on new or alternate aerosol packaging concepts as directed.
  • Performs or coordinates any packaging tests necessary to assure the manufacturability of products to be produced in our plants and helps to define risk.
  • Communicates with plant operations and QA groups when technical problems arise and works to resolve the problem. Exhibits good skills as technical troubleshooter.
  • Exhibits good knowledge of chemicals and packaging materials used to produce consumer products, especially pressurized packages.
  • Assists plant as required with the startup of new products, especially when “new” packaging is involved.
  • Maintains currency with new developments and trends in consumer product packaging and advises management of opportunities.
  • Develops knowledge of production activities, and supports packaging capabilities throughout the Division.
  • Provides training as required to raise the level of technical competence in our plants.
  • Supervises operation of pilot lab during test runs.
  • Tracks and reports on projects on timely basis.
  • Provides Summary Report of activities on a weekly basis.

 

Works with entire production team to ensure efficient and useable equipment.

  • Train team members in the area of machine operation.
  • Works directly with customers on new product startups.
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner using proper tools and wearing appropriate protective equipment
  • Adheres to all GMP/GLP and customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Two-year vocational degree required
  • Min 2 years experience in a related role
