KIK Consumer Brands – Automotive Division

Our Automotive business is comprised of the Prestone® and Holts® businesses. We develop, manufacture and market antifreeze/coolant and other automotive functional fluids and car appearance products in North America and key international markets. Prestone® is the number one branded consumer choice for antifreeze/coolant in North America. Other brands in our Automotive Care business include Holts®, Redex® and Simoniz® (outside North America).

All qualified candidates are encouraged to submit their application for the position of Director of Sales. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this position is responsible for integrating our Prestone business sales teams and strategies.

Essential Job Functions

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Provides leadership to the sales organization and manages a team of Sales Managers
  • Manage, develop and coach Customer Managers.
  • Direct Customer Managers to insure complete understanding of the account specific marketing plans and programs.
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas, and strategic plans, for key accounts, regions and channels of distribution; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Designs, implements, and manages sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes. Establishes high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting and budgeting process, and coordinates with all cross functional teams to execute plans and process
  • Works closely with executive leadership team to develop, establish and direct channel and distribution strategies and executes lead programs

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred or comparable work experience.

  • 7-10 years outside sales experience with one or more prominent CPG companies, with 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Direct national account experience with buyers / category managers
  • Successful growth of a national branded consumer packaged good
  • WalMart experience preferred
  • Diverse channel experience preferred

  • Proven experience in meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Ability to collaborate with other disciplines and staff to develop a results driven team oriented environment through motivation, coaching and market knowledge
  • Ability to establish contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners. 
  • The ability to initiate and handle a variety of projects or commitments simultaneously.
  • Customer focused, results-oriented and has the ability to interact with others in a positive manner.
  • The ability to react with urgency to achieve objectives and deadlines.
  • Ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment.
  • MS Office knowledge including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, & Project
