    Summary

    Our Supply Chain team is growing and we are adding another Material Planner to our team!  Our Material Planners ensure timely delivery of raw materials to the plant to meet our production schedules.  This position orders and/or releases materials consistent with Macola, MRP, and Supply and Demand and strives to maintain company inventory goals.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Monitor supplier service levels and notify vendors of out of spec material and timeliness of order
    • Lead a team of Junior Material Planners; resolving all purchase order prices, combining purchase order quantities for best prices; providing the highest degree of excellence in servicing customers
    • Monitor the item master data accuracy for completion of the bill of material
    • Prepare run-out analysis to determine soft and hard conversions for PLD
    • Develop strategies to meet and improve inventory turns
    • Determine the economic order quantity for "A" items
    • Developing new suppliers and managing relationships with the existing suppliers and work with Procurement to eliminate existing constraints.
    • Execute Sourcing strategies, policies and procedures to ensure the company receives the highest levels of quality and service while minimizing the cost of inventory, storage, transportation and obsolesces risk.
    • Experience in negotiation RFP’s or Sourcing strategies
    • Plan the production and movement of materials for turnkey items consistent with the delivery of the lowest total delivered economic cost to CBI/KIK operating unit.
    • Develop, advocate, and implement sourcing strategies for the raw and packaging materials under his/her responsibility to achieve short and long-term savings targets, taking into account total end to end supply chain costs

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma / GED or higher required.  Bachelor's degree is preferred.
    • 4 + years experience in products and capacity planning in a packaging manufacturer
    • Strong experience in purchasing raw materials is required.
    • Macola, MRP and JD Edwards experience preferred
