    The Project Management Specialist position is an essential customer relationship role that manages customer new product launches. Position works closely with customers, the customer sales lead at KIK, the KIK Innovation Team in Ontario, California, the costing lead at KIK, and the manufacturing facility for the launch technical transfer.  The individual must have a high energy level necessary to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and have a good balance of people skills, urgency, understanding, and a positive team-work attitude while making things happen.  A strong attention to detail across multiple projects is essential for the success of this role.  This position is based out of our Gainesville, Georgia manufacturing plant and reports directly to the Vice President, Prestige Beauty in Las Vegas, Nevada.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Project manages customer launch initiatives for a specific set of customers in the following areas: Product Launch, New product Quotations, Technical Transfer to Plant. Also strongly engaged in Business Review Process to provide solid interface with the customer’s processes and our internal processes to ensure project success
    • Identifies misalignments and interprets them to the business & ensures appropriate cost capture for changes and emerging or evolving customer requirements.
    • Participates in the Project Launch process with all participants to ensure that all desired elements of the launch process are met.  Works to standardize the launch process with customers.
    • Recognizes the resource changes due to customers’ changes in expectations, and ensures the information is provided to Sales for a commercial response
    • Identifies scope of project, develops project plans and schedules to ensure project completion is on time, within scope and within budget
    • Administers a broad range of documentation and tasks including scheduling and maintaining meeting calendars, publish minutes, assigning and tracking completion of follow up items as needed to execute project scope on time
    • Controls scope creep and manages change control process and where possible anticipates problems that may occur and take early preventative action
    • Maintains and monitors Issue and Risk logs for assigned projects
    • Monitors pilots and other tests
    • Liaises between all internal support groups and customer to ensure project is clearly defined
    • Regularly communicates key milestones or risks for stakeholder review



    • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in a related area - Business, Finance) MBA a plus.

    Required Skills and Abilities

    • Manage and resolve Launch Expectation Gaps (e.g. launch date in jeopardy due to customer changes - need to satisfy the customer, control cost and preserve the relationship)
    • Experience working through and providing solutions for Contract non-compliance remediation (customer is not complying with MOQ’s on contract, needs to find a solution that ensure compliance and does not damage the relationship)
    • Issue resolution between the customer and a plant (A quality problem is detected in product produced at the plant due to a KIK developed formulation issue - ensures the customer is satisfied with root cause identification and remedial actions, that costs are recovered and the relationship is intact)
    • Industry Experience in Salon Products and HBA Manufacturing preferred
    • Manufacturing Customer Interface
    • Supply Chain Knowledge
    • Strong PC Skills (MS Office Suite)
    • Strong Attention to Detail across multiple projects
    • Superior Communications Skills

    Working Conditions:

    • Travel required up to 10% of the time including customer visits, Innovation visits, plant visits and time in the office with other team members
