    Site Overview
    Custom Division's Danville, IL contract manufacturing plant is located conveniently in Danville with 300,000 square feet of production space. The facility runs 24 hours at 5 days a week and is registered and compliant with the FDA, EPA, & cGMP. This plant contains 9 aerosol production lines for pressurized products. It also has 3 liquid production lines and manufactures personal care and OTC products.


    Position Summary
    Our QC Chemists perform analyses of raw materials, batches, and finished products following specified analytical methods. Develops analytical procedures, troubleshoots, and validates laboratory methodologies and instrumentation.  KIK Danville's shift is the day shift ( 7AM - 3 PM ), with some weekends depending on production schedules.  This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic wet bench chemist with strong analytical skills and good instrumentation experience especially with HPLC and GC.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Develops analytical procedures employing various laboratory methodologies and instrumentation
    • Maintains accuracy and reliability of all laboratory instruments. Conduct instrument calibrations as required
    • Troubleshoots instrumentation and methodologies when mechanical or procedural difficulties occurValidates newly developed methods to meet CGLP requirements
    • Performs assigned procedures for processing laboratory reports, documentation, customer paperwork, and any other clerical laboratory functions as required
    • Investigates customer complaints and internal technical services problems, reports findings, and recommends solution(s)
    • Able to perform analysis using HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, AA, wet chemistry, and numerous other analytical methodologies/ techniques
    • Maintains a working knowledge of all KIK and customer procedures, requirements, and CGMP’s/CGLP


    • Bachelors degree (or higher) required in area of discipline
    • 1 - 2 years wet bench experience in Chemist position
    • Strong analytical skills with experience using HPLC, GC and other lab equipment
    • Good interpersonal skills and collaborative team attitude
    • Must have strong oral and written communication skills
    • Detail oriented and organized
    • Self-motivated, Customer focused and Quality minded
