    KIK Consumer Brands – Automotive Division

    Our Automotive business is comprised of the Prestone® and Holts® businesses. We develop, manufacture and market antifreeze/coolant and other automotive functional fluids and car appearance products in North America and key international markets. Prestone® is the number one branded consumer choice for antifreeze/coolant in North America. Other brands in our Automotive Care business include Holts®, Redex® and Simoniz® (outside North America).

    SUMMARY:The Process Engineer is an integral part to the improvement and growth of the Prestone Organization. The responsibilities include the design, approval, and implementation of process improvement projects and equipment replacement at the Prestone Alsip, IL Site as well other Prestone facilities. The Process Engineer will be expected to work with internal production personnel as well as outside vendors to continuously improve based on the needs of the facility.

    Essential Job Functions

    Essential Job Functions/ Principal Responsibilities


    The Process Engineer will be responsible to learn and improve multiple processes in the business including large-volume chemical blending and complete product packaging. This will include researching new equipment capabilities, equipment installations, general capacity and OEE improvements, and supporting new business opportunities and new product introduction. The Process Engineer will be expected to support New Product and Process Implementations to support the growth initiatives across the business.



    3 Years of Experence


    BS Degree in Engineering (Preferred Chemical or Mechanical)


    • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
    • Ability to prioritize across multiple projects
    • Analytical thinker and problem solver who can react quickly and solve manufacturing needs
    • Understanding of process work flow, space requirements, and equipment layouts
    • Ability to source, trial, and procure improvement equipment and implement it across multiple facilities
    • Ability to Manage and Support cross-functional projects
    • Job requires travel up to 50%, typically around 20% including the need of a driver’s license and passport


    • General Knowledge of Blending Operations, Plastic Blow Molding Operations, and General Packaging Operations
    • Ability to perform Failure-Analysis
    • General Knowledge of Quality Procedures and Testing
    • General Maintenance and Mechanical Knowledge
