    We are searching for candidates specifically in the Chicago, Atlanta, NYC, New Jersey markets.  Must be located near a major metro airport.

     

     

    General Summary

    The Health Products area is defined by KIK as non-personal care OTC products.  This is a market that is profitable but underserved currently by KIK’s contract manufacturing business.  In this role, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for understanding the market, developing the sales strategy and executing the strategy.  Execution will be a combination of direct selling to target accounts and support for the current sales staff already calling on Heath Products customers.  This role will be responsible for the profitability, revenue growth, relationship health and contractual content for Heath Products customers.  The ideal candidate has experience creating a business plan for an emerging growth segment.  Further, experience selling into pharma or OTC companies is a must.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Assessment of the contract manufacturing market for Health Products (e.g. market size, key customers, competitive analysis, elements needed to be successful)
    • Understand KIK capabilities, capacity and technical support for this product area
    • Develop a sales strategy to support substantial profitable growth in product area
    • Provide sales tools, training and support to the sales team to allow them to be more successful selling into existing accounts in Health Products market
    • Direct sales responsibility for target accounts where KIK has little to no current relationship.  This includes initial customer communication, on-site presentations, RFI response, RFP submission, negotiation, and deal/contract signing.
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and profit targets of for the Health Products area
    • Monitor profitability by SKU or Product Group by Customer. Take corrective action to maintain margins.
    • Periodic updates to management of progress against sales plan (minimum monthly)
    • Travel requirements are likely to be 50% - 60%

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree  preferably in a technical discipline or Business/Marketing
    • 5+ years’ sales and business development experience in the Heath Products market
    • Proven experience creating a business plan and sales strategy for an emerging business
    • Contract manufacturing experience a plus
    • Strong business acumen and results driven
