    KIK Consumer Brands – Household Division

    Our Household Division (“Household”) is the #1 player in North American private label bleach, and supplies private label cleaning programs to prominent American retailers.

     

    SUMMARY:

    We are immediately seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager with strengths in balancing maintenance work with the needs of a high-speed liquid filling and packaging manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for technical resources, maintenance leadership, activities and projects in Filling, Extrusion Blow Molding, Processing, warehousing and Building Maintenance. This position is a key member of the plant leadership team and reports to the General Manager.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Equipment Maintenance, including the maintaining of a PM and inventory maintenance program to include all aspects of machine repairs as well as the sourcing and purchasing of spare parts
    • Machine utilization tracking, to include the development and implementation of all the proper tracking methods of maintenance functions
    • Preventative Maintenance Program, maintain, update and assign appropriate PM tasks to improve equipment uptime
    • Utilize data to establish long term and short term equipment overhauls and upgrades
    • Reliability - responsible for meeting and beating company reliability standards
    • Projects - Involvement in plant wide project requirement relating to multiple departments as necessary based on project scope
    • Establish and maintain acceptable cleanliness and organizational standards in maintenance dept
    • Coordinate outside contracting with in-house projects as necessary
    • Design and implement continuous process improvements by sourcing out new technologies and upgrading existing
    • Coordinates with other KIK facilities in ensuring consistency from plant to plant  and with local contractors/ vendors
    • Be active participant in safety incentives and be part of emergency response team.
    • Ensure maintenance employees are evaluated and training is provided in house or offsite as needed

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
    • At least 5 years’ experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Packaging, or Reliability Maintenance/Engineering in a consumer packaged goods manufacturing facility
    • Must have experience with liquid filling equipment AND extrusion blow molding
    • Experience in process controls
    • Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, Servo and VFD programming and editing
    • Experience in automation driven machine and process environment
    • Experience implementing PM program and Maintenance Practices. InFor or comparable CMMS program experience preferred
    • High Energy and fast paced, leads by example, is decisive, and able to juggle multiple priorities
    • Lean Manufacturing Experience
    • Computer skills in MS Office and above average communication skills
