    KIK Consumer Brands – Pool Division KIK’s Pool Additives Division (“Pool”) is a leading player in North America and key international markets with a broad brand and product portfolio spanning both the Mass and Specialty Retailer channels. We are well known for our Clorox® Pool&Spa™ products in the North American Mass channel, our BioGuard® brand in the North American, Australian and South Africa Specialty channel, and our Bayrol brand across Europe.     SUMMURY: The Buyer/Production Planner will be an intricate part of the plant operations team to plan and control the flow of work and materials through the manufacturing process.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Create a two month rolling campaign-based production schedule and procurement plan based on forecast, seasonality and sales opportunities at designated focus factory on campus.
    • In conjunction with Procurement & Demand Planners, analyze raw material supply and address vendor constraints and to determine the appropriate levels of safety stock for raw materials to minimize lead times. 
    • Perform supply demand analysis each month, highlighting areas of concern for the next 12-18 months with MRP and Demand-Capacity planning tools.
    • Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan. Update Master Production Plan as necessary and communicate any changes to operations.
    • Demonstrate track record of achieving success with the ability to multi-task under pressure, meet deadlines
    • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
    • Procure raw materials from approved suppliers to sustain proper inventory levels and avoid stock out situations.
    • Evaluate available warehouse space to ensure adequate room for inbound raw materials.
    • Negotiate with suppliers appropriate delivery dates of materials in order to maximize available warehouse space during all seasons.
    • Work with project management teams to secure and implement proper versions of raw materials at the appropriate times keeping scrap costs to a minimum.
    • Request BOM changes as new versions of materials are implemented.
    • Prepare floor travelers for operators including process orders, finished product specifications, and Critical to Quality forms.
    • Prepare production budget for the next year using capacity models to maximize line capacity, minimize labor budget, and reduce the need for overtime.
    • Maintain Excel production as a means of communication to operations.
    • Hold weekly meetings to keep operations up to date with the following week's production schedule.
    • Identify key performance indicators and put processes in place to measure, improve, and communicate.
    • Work as part of a team ensuring that communication is strong and all are involved.
    • Demonstrate a track record of achieving success with the ability to multi-task under pressure, meet deadlines  


    Bachelor degree preferred in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Services, Logistics, Engineering


    5+ years of progressive and successful Buying/Scheduling experience, preferably for a manufacturing company over multiples locations using MRP systems.

    • Ability to lead, manage, influence and coach often working with offsite/remote team members
    • Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, complexity and work within a fast paced, dynamic environment
    • Extremely proactive and forward thinking with exceptional analytical skills and ability to identify issues and proactively plan to satisfy requirements
    • Proficient with planning systems and solid understanding of how planning parameters impact system recommendations.
    • Complete understanding of SAP systems in Buying/Planning/Scheduling with strong emphasis in using MRP systems within SAP.
    • Ability to work independently and to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
    • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
    • Complete understanding of SAP systems in Buying/Planning/Scheduling with strong emphasis is using MRP systems within SAP.
