    KIK Consumer Brands – Automotive Division

    Our Automotive business is comprised of the Prestone® and Holts® businesses. We develop, manufacture and market antifreeze/coolant and other automotive functional fluids and car appearance products in North America and key international markets. Prestone® is the number one branded consumer choice for antifreeze/coolant in North America. Other brands in our Automotive Care business include Holts®, Redex® and Simoniz® (outside North America).

    SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Prestone Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing the normal account activities for one or two automotive OEM accounts. Develop, nurture and grow relationships to penetrate accounts leveraging Prestone’s core strengths in coolant technology and 75 years of Light Duty OEM experience.   This person will need to thoroughly understand customer’s needs and use key account information to gain national program support for Prestone supplied products.

    Essential Job Functions

    Essential Job Functions/ Principal Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement plans in conjunction with OEM’s to launch and/or expand Prestone’s products for use with OEM factory fill and OES/aftermarket programs
    • Meet or exceed sales goals for Prestone products in OEM/OES market
    • Connect Engineering & Prestone Technical Resources together
    • Know and understand prospects, current suppliers, programs, pricing, and structure to help unlock a wining solution to convert business
    • Work with cross-functional departments (marketing, operations, distribution, and finance) to ensure successful onboarding of new programs
    • Manage day-to-day activities of Major OEM/OES accounts
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


    • A Bachelor’s degree required in a business related program such as a BBA
    • 2+ years of successful experience managing accounts and/or developing business in the Automotive OEM/S channel
    • Preferable experience managing and growing business with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA); Ford Motor Company experience also a plus
    • Very strong large account management experience
    • Strong new business development and negotiating skills
    • Successful new business development at the corporate level
    • The development of trust and credibility with key customer groups and corporate representatives within large accounts
    • Proactively listening and addressing customer’s needs and issues including the ability to anticipate key account(s) day-to-day and long-term needs
    • Must be able to sell against lesser priced competitors (value added selling experience)
    • Ability to adapt to change on an ongoing bas
    • Ability to travel up to 30%
