    KIK's Custom Division contract manufacturing network consists of 8 locations throughout North America.


    KCM Division's Danville, IL contract manufacturing plant is located conveniently in Danville with 300,000 square feet of production space. The facility runs 24 hours at 5 days a week and is registered and compliant with the FDA, EPA, & cGMP. This plant contains 9 aerosol production lines for pressurized products. It also has 3 liquid production lines and manufactures personal care and OTC products.


    Position Summary

    The Quality Assurance Manager performs and/or direct all quality assurance activities to ensure adherence to all customer and regulatory requirements and finished goods produced meet specifications.  This includes quality auditing, quality compliance, quality investigation (internal and external), quality systems, incoming quality control, packaging inspection, customer complaints, process deviations, batch record review and product release.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Ensures packaging operations adhere to all regulatory, GMP and customer requirements for finished goods quality. 
    • Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
    • Ensures all incoming testing of packaging and chemicals are completed according to GMP and customer requirements.
    • Provides technical assistance to other departments, suppliers and customers as needed.
    • Audits batch records to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
    • Investigates non-conformance batches and finished products.
    • Assists with all customer and regulatory audits. 
    • Interacts with customers as required to support new product startups and development.
    • Develops ways to improve component, on-line and finished product inspection methods to improve quality.
    • Maintain formal quality improvement program, including supporting methodology, tools and training materials.
    • Develops processes and tools to measure, monitor and track quality improvement.
    • Directs core processes and/or systems reviews
    • Assess critical-to-quality gaps, determine root causes, build business cases for improvement opportunities and implement control procedures to measure and monitor results.
    • Builds relationships with business leaders to understand business objectives and priorities, and to collaboratively identify quality improvement initiatives.
    • Manages and directs testing team direct reports; Provide supervision, coaching and counseling to assigned staff.


    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor degree (or higher) required in area of discipline.
    • Minimum 5 years of related production quality assurance (manufacturing floor) experience.  Aerosol, liquid or gel manufacturing a plus.

    • FDA manufacturing experience

    • Strong knowledge of related areas to acquire sufficient background as to procedures, skill, and supervisory techniques

    • Leadership of Production Operations Quality Assurance out in the plant

    • Technical expertise in product quality assurance, knowledge of Quality Standards, personal care product packaging standards, (TPP & FDA) cGMP regulations including ISO

    • Experience in any of the following Quality Assurance skills areas: Quality Auditing, Quality Compliance, Quality Investigation, Quality Systems, Validation, CAPA / SI Plans
