    KIK Consumer Brands – Household Division

    Our Household Division (“Household”) is the #1 player in North American private label bleach and supplies private label cleaning programs to prominent American retailers. Although Household started as a small bleach plant in Concord, Ontario, we have since expanded to a network of 8 plants strategically located across the United States to efficiently manufacture a variety of cleaners for both hard and soft surfaces. In addition to its private label portfolio, Household manufactures and markets Greased Lighting® and The Works® branded products.


    The 2nd Shift Production / Chemical Processing Supervisor is within our Consumer Brands Division (KCB) to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, California.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Ensure employees are performing tasks in a safe manner.
    • Responsible for reducing waste waters and increasing recycling efforts on second shift.
    • Have chemical ready for production per the weekly production plan.
    • Comply with all quality guidelines.
    • Conduct shift meetings with all departments.
    • Oversee chemical processing department and verifying that product is being produced per production schedule following blending procedures.
    • Review material inventory levels against production schedule.
    • Evaluate production schedule priorities at the beginning of the shift in order to ensure customer orders are met.
    • Validate housekeeping conditions from previous shift.
    • Coordinate production schedule with Production Manager to ensure priorities are meet.
    • Review time keeping system for employee and timecards for temporary staff.
    • Submit Shift Recap Report to appropriate recipients.
    • Update Reliability, Waste, and Down Time Tracker.
    • Safely handle various chemicals used in the batching process.
    • Must be able to wear a full face respirator and Level A suit, as necessary.
    • Coordinate headcount needs with Production Manager.
    • Assist with discipline in accordance to policy as needed.
    • Other functions as assigned based on business needs.


    • 5+ years of progressive and successful manufacturing industry experience.
    • Requires a high school diploma.
    • 2 years Supervisor experience required.
    • Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff, union employees, and contractors.
    • Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively manage complexity and work within a fast paced, dynamic environment.
    • Excellent leader with organizational, analytical, investigation, problem solving, communication skills and be a team player.
    • Must have Chemical Compounding experience.
    • Ability to communicate equipment needs to improve batching performance.
    • Have a strong understanding of production metrics and theorys.
    • Knowledge dealing with personnel issues as they arise.
    • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • Must be proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
    • Ability to make critical decisions and lead people during emergency situations.
