    KIK Consumer Brands – Automotive Division

    Our Automotive business is comprised of the Prestone® and Holts® businesses. We develop, manufacture and market antifreeze/coolant and other automotive functional fluids and car appearance products in North America and key international markets. Prestone® is the number one branded consumer choice for antifreeze/coolant in North America. Other brands in our Automotive Care business include Holts®, Redex® and Simoniz® (outside North America).

     

    SUMMURY: Leads Prestone brand to build consumer demand, market share, sales, and profitability grounded in deep consumer understanding and market knowledge. Market management innovation strategy and the new product roadmap, and driving regional P&L results.  Marketing Directors are responsible for developing, and talent.

    Essential Job Functions

    Consumer and Market Insights

    • Set consumer insights budget, determines studies, and patterns with agencies to execute

    Brand Strategy

    • Recommends the brand(s) long-term vision, strategies, and 3-5 year financial targets supported by business visions and strategies
    • Identified category trends and future sources of growth, product category (ies) expansion.  Recommends product portfolio strategy, including product classes to enter, exit, and maintain

    Innovations

    • Leads development of Prestones innovation strategy, including role of sustaining and breakthrough innovation, new categories, and new market spaces
    • Created a robust new product pipeline based upon consumer insights and market needs, and following the CDI process
    • Agrees to the business case for new products, including estimating sales and gathering financial information

    Pricing

    • Sets pricing objectives, strategies, and guardrails to extract maximum value on new and existing products

    Integrated Marketing Planning

    • Sets annual marketing objectives, strategies, and plans, grounded in business and customer assessment
    • Programming includes: advertising, media planning, digital contact, public relations, social, promotions and events

    Financial Management

    • Develops an ongoing pipeline of productivity initiatives that drive best cost while maintaining product quality

    Organization Role and Structure and Talent Management

    • Sets clear objectives and prioritizes initiatives for the team. Assigns clear projects and tasks to direct reports, and couches and develops their skills
    • Sets clear statement of work for all marketing agencies before beginning work

    Qualifications

    7-10 years of Marketing experience

    Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred

    • Experience translating marketing objectives into successful plans. Proven success in leading a team to develop a comprehensive marketing growth plan that is integrated across multiple consumer touchpoints, including at point-of purchase
    • Experience setting pricing strategies and guardrails, and setting and managing price to extract maximum value
    • Experience managing a P&L
    • Has successfully launched one or more new products from concept stage through commercialization and in-market success
    • Proven ability to manage and develop a marketing team
