    KIK Consumer Brands – Automotive Division

    Our Automotive business is comprised of the Prestone® and Holts® businesses. We develop, manufacture and market antifreeze/coolant and other automotive functional fluids and car appearance products in North America and key international markets. Prestone® is the number one branded consumer choice for antifreeze/coolant in North America. Other brands in our Automotive Care business include Holts®, Redex® and Simoniz® (outside North America).

    SUMMURY: This position is responsible for the ordering and management of purchased finished goods from third party suppliers. Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, expediting and tracking purchase orders for an on-time delivery, reviewing purchased finished good forecast and managing inventory. This position is critical to delivering aggressive financial results and ensuring cost, service and working capital goals are met.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer service and inventory targets.
    • Continuous process improvement to ensure on-time arrival and issue resolution with suppliers.
    • Responsible for ordering purchased finished goods from 3rd party vendors in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Daily and weekly updates regarding PO's, delivery dates and quantities, price changes, addition/deletion of materials, changes to lead-times, and pricing updates.
    • Vendor and Supplier relations, including follow-up, on-time delivery scheduling and confirmation.
    • Following up with vendors for order acknowledgments and delivery confirmation dates.
    • Maintain accurate and complete vendor information.
    • Responsible for all supplier returns due to defects, or other supplier defects, see this process through to completion and credit issued by supplier.
    • Work with other departments to resolve PO/invoice discrepancies and to provide suppliers with necessary forecasts.
    • Monitor materials that will be changing label design in upcoming months to minimize loss, while working with Marketing/Sales on these transitions.
    • Send out monthly scorecards to vendors.
    • Review/check vendor invoices as needed.
    • Participate in Operations meetings, and generate various reports and analyses when needed.
    • Join or lead supply chain related projects as needed

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (Supply Chain preferred).

    1-3 years Supply Chain, Purchasing or Procurement experience (Manufacturing preferred).

     

    • Experience with creation of queries, reports and data extraction from ERP
    • Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
    • Experience with JDE or SAP.
    • Ability to take initiative to solve problems and create reporting.
    • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) -- Access a plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical / problem solving skills.
    • Strong sense of self-motivation and ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently.
    • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
    • 5% travel required
