    KIK Custom Products’ Custom Manufacturing Division’s Danville, Illinois contract manufacturing facility is located conveniently in Danville near Champaign, IL. The facility runs 24 hours at 5 days a week and is registered and compliant with the FDA, EPA, & cGMP. This plant contains eight aerosol productions lines for pressurized products and three liquid production lines for the manufacturing of personal care and OTC consumer products. 

    Essential Job Functions

    • Perform all instrumental and wet chemistry analysis following specified analytical methods and produce accurate results in a timely manner.
    • Provide technical assistance to Compounding and Production Departments as needed.
    • Train, supervise, direct, and motivate Lab Technicians.
    • Perform duties per GMP-GLP and customer requirements.
    • Maintain accuracy and reliability of all laboratory instruments.
    • Provide technical assistance to Compounding and Production Departments as needed.
    • Support Continuous Improvement process and participate in team activities. Assist in providing training with the goal of greater interaction between personnel and departments.
    • Review and access analytical methods for compatibility and capability.
    • Maintain good working relations and communication within department and with other departments.
    • Follow all safety guidelines within the lab and the plant.
    • Organize and prioritize day to day duties.
    • Flexible work schedule to cover for vacation/sick leaves.
    • Perform routing maintenance and calibrations for lab equipment.\
    • Perform Installation-Operational Qualification Validations of lab equipment.
    • Perform Lab Internal Audit for Compliance.
    • Troubleshoot – Investigate off quality batch and prepare reprocessing instructions.
    • Develop and qualify and document new test methods as needed.
    • Maintain inventory of lab supplies and purchase as necessary.
    • Prepare Lab Standard Operating Procedures
    • Prepare Out of Specification or any other investigation or technical report.

    Qualifications

    • Experienced in Analytical Chemistry with the ability to troubleshoot and develop methods.
    • Team player - good oral and written communication skills.
    • Organize and goal oriented.
